Homework & Expectations

Aiming High!

St. Andrew Academy students work very hard and are required to complete daily independent reading. Math practice is given each night for homework. Students are encouraged to seek extra help as needed and teachers provide sessions after school on a weekly basis. Parent permission is required for students to stay after school. If further remediation is necessary, please contact the principal for assistance.

Students, parents and guardians are able to check homework policies and assignments for each grade level by logging on to the parent portal of the website. Parents will also find important news, check grades and communicate directly with teachers through this portal. If a parent needs assistance please contact our Technology Integrator.

Some homework may require signatures. Examples include:

• Reading Logs • Spelling Packets • Tests

Take Home Folders

Students are given a Take Home folder that parents should look at every night. It will contain timely forms and information that typically require a response. Some homework may also be in this folder.

Students are responsible for getting the homework and classwork missed when absent.  This can be checked on each teacher's webpage (will be up and running by September.)
